Hi, I'm Sarah (she/her)

My journey with Yoga began with an injury and the search for a more gentle way to move while I was healing. And my newly developed practice worked better than expected - my flexibility improved, my strength remained despite not being able to do my usual physical activities. But there was also something else. Something that made me come back to it over and over again, even when my injury had fully healed. I felt more connected, calmer, more... myself.

After a few years, a move to the other side of the world and a pandemic, I finally decided it was time to find some answers. So I signed up for my first Yoga Teacher Training. And left with way more questions than I started with. That's how you know you've truly learnt something. When you realise that you really know nothing and want to keep digging. So I did and still am.

Besides practising and studying Yoga, I trained to be an engineer and scientist which influences how I approach my learning and sharing of the practice. I'm all about real facts and nuance, and not afraid to change my view on what I thought to be true and admit that I don't know.

I love movement. Outside of my Yoga Asana (posture) practice, I bouldered for many years, have been doing pole dancing and most recently started weight lifting.

While not directly related to movement, my engineering research was mainly focused around biomechanics. Years of research in this area and growing up with physician parents sparked an inherent interest in the human body and how it works.

Now, my goal is to share what I have learnt over the years and share it with people who are interested in:

  • Understanding how to unlock new movement skills

  • Improving sport-specific performance and preventing injury

  • Modifying movement with injuries without the feeling of missing out and to support healing

  • Learning more about breath and meditation (or why this should interest you)

If you are an athlete (amateur or elite) or just someone who loves movement and want to find out how Yoga could support you in achieving your goals, let's have a chat. I won't promise quick results or easy answers. Instead I offer a personalised approach and my goal is to teach you so you can do it all without me!
